IFMG drives evidence-based research and innovation to advance public financial management and governance practice across Somalia. We generate knowledge that is grounded in Somalia's unique institutional context producing policy briefs, technical reports, case studies, and analytical publications that inform decision-making at all levels of government. Our research agenda is responsive to the emerging challenges and reform priorities of Somalia's public sector.

Beyond traditional research, IFMG actively promotes digital finance and innovation by exploring and piloting new technologies, systems, and approaches that can modernize public financial management. We collaborate with government institutions, development partners, and academic bodies to translate research findings into actionable recommendations that drive real reform.
